All welcome to a practical introduction to tree planting and maintenance, including mulching, staking and tying and aftercare, including watering. Workshop leader Dan Thompson will set this in the context of the importance and value of trees in urban settings and in terms of climate change mitigation as well as for wildlife. T
Meet at the MUD Market Garden in Platt Fields Park (between Mabfield Road entrance and The Lake).
The workshop will be hands on and partly outdoors – please wear strong shoes, gloves and appropriate clothes.
Dan Thomson will be the team leader and on the day is responsible for demonstrating and overseeing health and safety, demonstrating and helping on good practice on tree planting and ensuring the tools are available (borrowed from MUD) and returned.
